Biography

Lindsay is a Partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon in Calgary, Alberta. She specializes in commercial arbitration and litigation with a focus on construction, infrastructure, and energy disputes. She regularly acts for clients in domestic and international commercial arbitrations, including ICC, ADRIC, and ad hoc arbitrations. Lindsay has significant experience in trials and appeals and has appeared before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal of Alberta; she also has significant experience in regulatory proceedings, including before the Alberta Energy Regulator and the Alberta Securities Commission. Lindsay has also acted for clients in matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

 Lindsay has been recognized by Chambers Canada (Litigation: General Commercial), Best Lawyers in Canada (Corporate and Commercial Litigation; Construction Law), and the Legal 500 Canada (Dispute Resolution: Alberta). She is a Y-ADR Steering Committee Member of the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, based in New York. She regularly writes commercial arbitration case commentaries for Arbitration Matters and other publications. Lindsay is also an instructor for the Advocacy Program at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. At Blakes, she is Co-Chair of the Calgary Student Committee.
