Biography
Alison Burns is an associate in Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP’s Vancouver office. She maintains a civil litigation and dispute resolution practice with a focus on domestic and international commercial arbitrations, construction and infrastructure disputes, lien claims, and other complex commercial disputes. Alison is called to the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta. Alison has acted as junior counsel in significant commercial arbitration proceedings under various institutional rules. Recent commercial matters on which Alison has been counsel include a C$1-billion arbitration claim regarding pipeline construction and an arbitration under the ADRIC Arbitration Rules involving the construction of mining infrastructure (among others).
In addition to her work on CIArb Canada’s YMG Committee, Alison is also a Regional Representative for North America for the LCIA’s Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG).
